All Around The World

1. Machu Picchu | Peru

Whether you’re a history buff or just enjoy seeing cool new sights, get ready for a trek through these ancient Incan ruins situated all the way up in the Andes of South America. The famous Incan sanctuary of Machu Picchu is just part of the fun, as the mountainous region surrounding it features all kinds of diverse ecosystems from glacial ice to tropical rainforests. After a long day on the trails, settle into one of many comfy lodges with breathtaking, one-of-a-kind views.

2. Israel National Trail | Israel

This trail, named for its home country, is massive, spanning close to 600 miles. That means there’s a little something for everyone along the way, from high- to low-impact. Religious history buffs will especially enjoy this trail, which is quite literally of biblical proportions.

3. The Continental Divide | U.S.A.

One of the biggest hiking trails around the world, the Continental Divide spans over 2,000 miles of marked trails and another 800 plus miles of unmarked trails through the U.S. States of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. Hiking in this huge and still somewhat untamed trail can evoke the feelings of exploration that Lewis & Clark had when they crossed the Divide way back in the early 19th century. Taken in smaller doses, the Continental Divide Trail provides many opportunities for lower impact day hikes – great for the whole family.

4. Sentiero Azzuro | Italy

Sentiero Azzuro means "The Blue Trail," a reference to its gorgeous vistas of the Mediterranean. It’s great for families with children as it’s very walkable and not as expansive as the Israel National Trail. It’s also great for more serious hikers who can choose to veer off the given paths into the hillsides and go mountaineering and exploring all while taking in the incomparable beauty of the Ligurian Coastline below.

5. Bay of Fires | Tasmania, Australia

The Australian island of Tasmania is not just the home of a famous cartoon character – it’s also one of the gems of Oceania. The hike itself is not necessarily long (about 45 miles) or strenuous, but getting there can be its own beast. You can only take guided tours here, but it’s well worth the price of admission. As you brush up against the pure white sand beaches and take in the many varieties of flora and fauna on this relatively untouched island paradise.
